Visitors, Roof, school...

Lots of updates..

First.. the house. As of last Thursday, the roof was up. On Monday of this week, they started the electrical work. The builders are proving time and time again that we picked a good builder to be dealing with when we can't be physically present. They call us with updates. They call us to ask questions. They ask us for opinions - like where we want the rough in for the basement bathroom to be, or if there was any special requests for the electrical. It's probably a rare feeling that you can trust the builders even if you can't see what they are doing.

Next.. Kat's last day of school is tomorrow. The year for her has flown by. She has learned alot of French this past year. She has learned to read. She has been working on her writing skills. And of no surprise, she has made friends with every kid that she has contact with. She had a wonderful teacher, and great class mates, and i'm sure she will miss them all.

And finally.. We got to enjoy the company of my parents last week. They arrived Tuesday night, and stayed here until Sunday morning. They took Kat and Ellie to Bird Rock, and around the closest coast. We went to the Fluvarium, and the Geocentre all together on Saturday. It was alot of fun, and the girls definitely enjoyed it. And even the littlest one, who was held for a max of 10 minutes before we left Ottawa, attached herself to my dad, and was cuddling and playing with him within 20 minutes of "meeting" him. So it went really well. So well that Mommy and Daddy got to enjoy a date night on Saturday night while my parents babysat. :)

No pictures today. No new pics from the builder. Most of the pictures taken last week were on my dad's camera. But i'll take a pic of my big girl on her last day of school tomorrow. And i'll be able to get some of the pics that my dad took on Friday when they are back here.
